This month I’d like to talk about 

BELOVED

By Francis Chan

Long ago, I promoted an older book called “Crazy Love” by the same author. Crazy Love was written in the early days of his ministry and sort of launched him onto the national stage. Now, with Beloved, Francis is looking back on his decades of ministry in this extremely compelling work. 

It’s a beautiful reflection on how God really does love us, and he gives a LOT of examples and stories of his own children and grandchildren to explain his reflections. I was actively referencing it and recommending it to everyone I know before I had even finished the first chapter. By the time I got to the end, it was at the top of my list for best books I’ve read in 2026.
